KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for an AV/IT Infrastructure/Rack Build Technician.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated AV/IT Infrastructure Technician to join our team. As an AV/IT Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for building racks. You will work closely with the rack building team to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain AV/IT racks, including server racks and cabinets.
- Perform rack and stack activities, ensuring proper installation and organization of equipment following system schematic.
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of racks located in customers facilities.
- Coordinate and manage cable management, ensuring neat and organized cable routing. Build cables, cable looms, and terminate cables.
- Assist in the integration and deployment of new rack systems and technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and infrastructure issues as they arise.
- Work closely with inventory warehouse to procure necessary equipment and components.
- Maintain accurate documentation of rack configurations, hardware inventory, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support rack configuration and testing.
- Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures & promote efficiencies.
Requirements: - Solid experience in building and managing racks.
- Proficient knowledge of server installation, hardware deployment, and cable management best practices.
- Familiarity with network racks, equipment, and cabling standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for infrastructure-related issues.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in rack configurations and documentation.
- Strong soldering skills (preferred).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Audio, AV and/or digital audio skills (preferred).
- Work sites likely will require the ability to navigate stairs, ladders, and confined spaces.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
