KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for an Accountant in San Gabriel Valley. 


Essential Functions:
  • Post payments to PeopleSoft accounts receivable module and reconcile all incoming payments
  • Ensure correct coding of all customer invoices and payments in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and provide verification of validity of accounting string
  • Prepare cash receipt application, monitor customer accounts and utilization trends
  • Process letter of credit draw requests and perform regular letter of credit reporting
  • Ensure an accurate and timely month end and year end close
  • Prepare and monitor account collections 
  • Maintain current working knowledge of federal regulations, sponsor policies, and company policies
  • Maintain financial integrity of assigned duties by monitoring and generating regular reconciliations
  • Set-up customer billing files for new contracts and maintain billing files for existing contracts
  • Update files with contract modification and other supporting documents for billing
  • Update Charge Description Master with new service codes or price changes
  • Responsible for non-grants invoices and statement generation
  • Prepare miscellaneous billings and interdivision cost billings to Business Units
  • Reconcile customer statements and correct discrepancies as necessary
  • Monitor unbilled accounts and coordinate with the Departments/Divisions, Office of Sponsored Research (OSR), Research Finance, Clinical Research, and/or the sponsor to ensure payments are received
  • Assists management and propose procedures for review and approval, to aid in achieving monthly collection goals and collection activities
  • Maintain an awareness of the financial activities within the assigned areas of responsibility to ensure smooth operations, compliance with company policies
  • Perform specific accounting activities through the input of accounting transactions and the monitoring, coordinating, and summarizing of accounting results
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of receivable accounts
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable Aging report and assist Contract Administrators in account collections
  • Responsible for financial reporting and month-end reports
  • Assist in the month-end close and year-end financial audits 
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Assist Vice President/Executive Director/Controller/Accounting Manager in other job related duties
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; emphasis in accounting preferred
  • College degree with accounting certification
  • 1-3 years' experience
  • Bank reconciliation experience
  • Complex transactions such donations, grants, investment, patient accounts, intercompany transactions
  • Outstanding & stale dated checks
  • Concentration account and disbursement account
  • Multiple subledgers data point
  • Detail oriented and organizational skills
  • Merchant processing reconciliation
  • Chargeback
  • Disputes
  • Accounting/Ledgers/System
  • AR cash receipts and  cash posting
  • Subledger roll up
  • Comfortable with complex enterprise business setting
  • Proficient with PeopleSoft ERP
  • Analytical skills and good with high volume data and understand data flow
  • Proficient in Excel (Vlookup, SumIf, Pivot)
  • Work well under pressure and deadline
