Position: Accounting Manager (6 month contract) 
Location: Durham, NC - Remote/Hybrid 

  • Lead the month-end closing process for multiple intercompany investment entities
  • Assist the external audit team with the development and execution of audit procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews based on the annual audit plan to analyze IT risks, identify areas for improvement, raise opportunities for streamlining and efficiencies, and clearly articulate value-added recommendations
  • Assist the external tax team with tax return documentation support, detailed reviews and distribution of pertinent tax payment and forms 
  • Review and prepare journal entries and reconciliations
  • Implement accounting policies and procedures with proper internal controls
  • Prepare and support the monthly valuations calculations
  • Assist with preparation of the annual budget
  • Support with quarterly business review process
  • Support the preparation of reporting materials for Investors 
  • Support the calculations of the monthly corporate KPIs
  • Manage the distribution calculations of the investor returns waterfall
  • Support the external tax team 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. Master's degree is preferred
  • CPA or former CPA with Big 4 accounting firm experience is strongly preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in Senior or Accounting Manager role in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced excel skills 
  • Experience with the entire general ledger and month-end close process
  • QuickBooks or Intacct experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP. Understanding of ASC 606 and ASC 820 preferred
