Position: Virtualization Engineer, VMware
Location: San Diego 100% onsite
Duration: 6-12 month C2H
Rate: $50 - $55 p/hr DOE

We are currently hiring for three (3) Virtualization Engineers to architect, deploy, secure and administer VMware vSphere ESXi 3,4, and 5 cluster infrastructures. You will be working with a highly recognized and highly respected organization. This is a 100% onsite position in San Diego.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain 265+ virtual machines with 100% uptime, perform physical to virtual migrations, deploying SRM 5.1.
- Advise the security group on best practices successfully securing our Active Directory infrastructure.
- Serve as a lead in the design architecture of our two co-location facilities.
- Design and deploy seven HP C7000 blade enclosures supporting VMware, Epic and Citrix applications.
- Manage multiple clinical and business application project deployments at our 24/ 7 hospital employing 500+ servers.
- Assist in creation and maintenance of system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
- Architects and designs multi-site VMware Horizon VDI Technology with emphasis in compliance and resiliency/HA configuration.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Virtualization Systems Engineer
- Hands-on experience implementing, operating, and maintaining enterprise-level virtualization systems, backed by Nutanix and/or VMware, providing virtualization capabilities and services
- Good experience with Nutanix/VDI Systems Administrator and provide all levels of support for the user base community is a huge plus
- In-depth knowledge of VMware administration, VMware ESXi, VMware VDI, and VMWare Horizon View environment.
- Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) systems, applications, and services to offer VDI and Application presentations via a centralized Hosting platform
