Born in Newport Beach, went to college in San Diego and having previously lived in Los Angeles for 10 years, Robert has met thousands of candidates and hiring managers over the years and still regularly communicates with the vast majority of them.

What’s your favorite meal?
Sushi or Pizza

Where did you grow up?
I went to elementary school in Irvine and then high school in Newport Beach and college in San Diego.

What’s your favorite memory?
I have a few outside of my wedding day and the birth of my son that I would be persecuted for not listing as #1, but a close second would be going to my first Angel game with my dad when I was 6 and then taking my son to his first Angel game when he was 6.

Describe your perfect day.
My perfect day would be having breakfast with my wife and son followed up with putting someone to work who really needs it. Then, I’d spend some time with my friends at the beach or on the golf course followed by dinner and a movie with my wife and son. Then I would repeat the process the next day.

If friends had to describe you in one word what would it be?
“Buddy” for two reasons. #1 for some reason they think I am Buddy the Elf and #2 I think they actually all consider me as a true buddy which is how I regard myself in relation to them.

What was the last concert you went to?
Kaboo festival in Del Mar last summer.

Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
My “buddy” and hiring manager at Sony.

If you could meet one famous person who would you meet?
Santa Clause.

Are you a dog or cat lover?
Dog – we have a 14 year old chocolate lab.

What’s your favorite song?
There are so many great ones to choose from, but I would have to go with “Jingle Bells”.

Coffee or tea?
Coffee.

If you could speak another language what language would it be?
Mandarin.

What is your dream car?
I’m already living the dream with my Prius! You should see what it can do when I push the power button…

If you could be anywhere in the world where would you want to be?
Right here in Orange County. I’ve traveled the world and there are some great spots, but I’m very lucky and appreciative to call Laguna Beach home.

What motivates you?
A little bit of everything. I wake up everyday with a smile and love the work hard/play hard mantra and doing the right thing day after day. It never gets old.
