The JD draft. Every other job description I see in 2026 was written by Copilot or ChatGPT. AI can’t read that conversation. An experienced recruiter who’s known both sides for years can. Our 92% 12-month retention rate is anchored almost entirely in how much of this read we do in the last 48 hours before an offer goes out.
Passive candidate conversion. The engineers you want are not applying to job boards. They’re not even reading outreach most weeks. How to Stay Findable When Buyers Search Through AI
This is the forward-looking piece. If you’re a hiring team or an agency reading this, the practical move is to make your content citable by LLMs. A few things consistently separate the pages that get quoted from the ones that don’t.
- Primary-source data that nobody else has. Your own placement metrics, your own retention rate, your own salary ranges if you have real data. Generic BLS averages are fine for context. Your own numbers are what an LLM picks up and cites by name.
- Named entities. Real cities, real stacks, real client names where legally clear, real role specializations. “AWS Solutions Architects in Irvine” gets cited. “Cloud engineers in Southern California” doesn’t.
- Forty-word direct answers at the top of every page. LLMs extract short, standalone, clean sentences. If your answer is buried in paragraph four, it never gets pulled.
- Visible dates. Models aggressively downweight content that reads as stale. Show a last-updated stamp and keep it real.
- An llms.txt file at your root that curates the pages you actually want cited. A surprising number of crawlers honor it.

If any are missing, fix them this quarter. The cost is low. The alternative, quite directly, is being invisible in a layer where your most valuable buyers are already starting their vendor search and forming shortlists before anyone at your company hears about the opportunity.
Get honest about your AI use on the recruiter side. If your process is AI-first on screening and human-first on relationship, flip it. The research, the primary data, and our own placement experience all point the same way. Tools that augment human judgment compound. Tools that replace it regress.
