Combating Hunger, One Hire at a Time
At KORE1, giving back to the communities in which we work and live is a major part of our company culture and mission. Not only do we aim to make a positive impact on the world around us, but we also see this commitment to charity as our social responsibility as a large corporation. We owe it to our clients, employees, society, and the environment to strive to be and do better.
That’s why KORE1 is excited to announce our partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank for the second year in a row! Second Harvest’s goal is to bring healthy food to those in need— currently around 400,000 people every month—throughout the Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
Last year, we were able to provide 151,000 meals to families in need, exceeding our original goal of 144,000 meals. We are so thankful to everyone who made generous donations, and we can’t wait to do it all again in 2022. If you’re unfamiliar with the process, here’s how it works:
For each KORE1 consultant who is hired, the KORE1 office responsible for the placement will donate $50 to Second Harvest, who will distribute the donation locally via the Feeding America Network. Also, the KORE1 partner hiring the consultant can choose to match this charitable gift with a donation of their own. Through these donations, KORE1 and participating partners will raise awareness and resources in support of Feeding America’s mission to end hunger.
No donation is too small
During these challenging times, every dollar counts in combating hunger and ensuring anyone who needs a healthy meal can get one. Due to inflation, the rising cost of living in the Bay Area, and the supply chain issues caused by COVID-19, Second Harvest is serving 60% more people than they were pre-pandemic. We are honored to assist them in any way we can to provide comfort and normalcy to those struggling during these unprecedented times.
