KORE1 is a NetSuite staffing agency headquartered in Irvine that places NetSuite administrators, SuiteScript developers, and functional consultants across Orange County on contract or direct hire, with 92% of placements still in seat a year later.

Orange County runs a lot of NetSuite. More than a metro this size should, and the reason isn’t mysterious. The county is stacked with exactly the kind of company Oracle built the product for. Medical device suppliers around Irvine and Aliso Viejo. Apparel and action sports brands in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach. Precision machine shops feeding aerospace primes out of Santa Ana and Anaheim. Fifty to five hundred people, real inventory, more than one legal entity, and no appetite for a seven-figure SAP program. That is the NetSuite buyer.

What almost none of them run is a NetSuite team. They run a NetSuite person. Sometimes two. That one seat owns saved searches, the close checklist, roles and permissions, SuiteFlow approvals, whatever scripting has piled up over the years, and the feeds out to the 3PL and the webstore. It works fine. Right up until it doesn’t.

So the call we get is rarely “find me an ERP consultant.” It’s closer to “our admin gave notice and nobody else knows how the revenue arrangement rules were built,” or “we’ve been waiting eleven months for a developer who can read the scripts we already have.” Our NetSuite consultant staffing practice runs these searches nationally, and our NetSuite recruiters work the Southern California bench specifically. Same platform, different question.

Being headquartered in Irvine matters more here than it would in most markets. The NetSuite people worth hiring in Orange County already know each other. They came up through the same handful of solution providers, sat in the same user group rooms, and hold a fairly detailed opinion about which local accounts are a mess and why. You don’t cold-message your way into that. Nobody can. We’ve been at it for twenty years, and it’s the same network our Orange County staffing and Orange County IT staffing teams work every day.

What We Fill

NetSuite Roles We Staff Across Orange County

A NetSuite req almost never says what it means. “NetSuite Administrator” can describe a power user who lives in saved searches and the close checklist, or it can describe someone expected to write Map/Reduce scripts and own an EDI feed. Two different people. Roughly a sixty thousand dollar spread. We sort that out on the intake call, before anyone sees a resume.

  • NetSuite administrators who own roles and permissions, saved searches and reports, sandbox refreshes, and the regression pass that has to happen twice a year when Oracle ships a NetSuite release.
  • If your customization lives in a script nobody has opened since 2022, you need a NetSuite developer. SuiteScript 2.1, user event and client scripts, scheduled and Map/Reduce jobs, RESTlets, SDF projects.
  • Functional and implementation consultants for requirements, chart of accounts design, subsidiary and tax setup, UAT, and cutover weekend.
  • Integration specialists on SuiteTalk REST, Celigo or Boomi, EDI into the 3PL, and the API governance arithmetic most candidates have never actually run.
  • A solution architect, for when the next decision is the expensive kind to reverse. Multi-subsidiary OneWorld, a second instance, an acquisition you have to fold in.
  • SuiteCommerce developers for the county’s direct-to-consumer brands running SuiteCommerce Advanced alongside wholesale.
  • Plenty of Orange County accounts need eight hours a week, not a headcount. That’s a fractional or part-time administrator, and it’s a perfectly good answer.

Starter, Mid-Market, Premium, and Enterprise OneWorld accounts all need the same work done. What changes is how much of it one person can realistically hold. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics files most of this work under computer systems analysts, which is a fair anchor for comp and a poor guide to supply, because the NetSuite-specific slice of that category is very small. In this county the demand is concentrated enough that the same thirty or so people get called for every opening. The pool is small. The engagement model is yours to pick. Some clients want a contractor through an implementation or a release cycle. Others want a direct hire who will own the account for years. Contract-to-hire is common here for a first NetSuite hire, because a team that has never managed one usually wants to watch before it commits.

Our Approach

How We Screen NetSuite People, Not Keyword Matches

Every NetSuite resume in this market says the same six things. Saved searches, workflows, integrations, some scripting, supported a OneWorld environment, go-live experience. As a filter it’s close to useless. So we ask questions that have a right answer. Real ones.

Here’s one we run on integration candidates. How would you sync serialized units into NetSuite from a supplier feed? A weak answer designs it per unit. In a 2026 NetSuite integration scope from Oracle NetSuite Alliance Partner Foretopia, whose CIO Colin Boothe writes for this site, a unit-level design across roughly 70,000 units a month worked out to about 1,350,000 API calls a year against a licensed allowance of 130,000. Over by a factor of ten. Batching at the transaction level landed under a quarter of that allowance, same requirement and same data, which means the whole decision was arithmetic somebody either did or skipped before they drew the design.

Another one. How does an outside system authenticate into a RESTlet? If the answer is an API key, that’s a tell. NetSuite RESTlets need OAuth 1.0 token-based authentication or signed OAuth 2.0 requests, so an API-key-only vendor callback has to sit behind an authenticated relay. Small detail. Ask it anyway. It’s also exactly the kind of thing that surfaces in week six of an integration when nobody raised it in week one.

Sourcing is the slower half and gets none of the credit. Twenty years across Southern California enterprise systems, a referral network that mostly runs through people we placed years ago, and a habit of staying in touch with NetSuite consultants after they leave a partner firm and go client-side. The strong ones here are almost never on the market. They are usually one honest conversation away from it, which is a completely different thing, and it’s why we open with a real role description instead of another paragraph about a confidential client in Southern California.

The placements hold. 92 percent are still in seat a year later.

Four Lanes, One Seat

Every NetSuite account needs four kinds of work done. Most Orange County mid-market teams staff for two of them and quietly absorb the other two, which is why “we’re fine on NetSuite” so often turns out to mean “nothing has broken yet.” Here is the honest picture of where the coverage usually goes.

AdministerUsually held

Roles and permissions, saved searches and reports, the monthly close checklist, sandbox refreshes, the release regression pass. Your existing admin almost certainly has this covered. Nobody worries about this lane. It’s the part of NetSuite that looks like NetSuite.

ConfigureHeld thin

SuiteFlow approvals, custom records and fields, transaction forms, subsidiary and tax setup, revenue arrangement rules. Configuration is where an account quietly drifts away from its original design. Most teams have somebody doing it. Far fewer have somebody writing down why. That gap compounds.

BuildUsually dark

SuiteScript 2.1, Map/Reduce jobs, RESTlets, SDF deployment, and a test approach that isn’t “push it to sandbox and see.” First lane to go dark in this county, because a strong NetSuite developer costs more than a strong admin and is much harder to find locally. Both things are true.

ConnectUsually dark

SuiteTalk REST, the middleware layer, EDI to the 3PL, marketplace and webstore feeds, tax and payments, and the API call budget every one of those draws against. Nobody owns it until something silently stops posting and finance finds it at close. Then it’s a fire.

Two dark lanes is normal for a mid-market Orange County account. It isn’t a crisis. It also isn’t a reason to buy a bigger platform. It’s a staffing question, and it’s usually cheaper to answer than people expect. If you’d rather know exactly where you stand first, a NetSuite health check maps it before you hire anyone.

Where We Recruit Across Orange County

Low rise Orange County business park courtyard with palms, pale stucco offices and morning marine layer light

Low-rise office park, Irvine Spectrum. Seven submarkets, one commute shed.

We recruit the whole county and the commute shed around it, which in practice means we know which roles pull from which side of the 405 before we present anyone. A Brea candidate and an Irvine role is a conversation. A Brea candidate and a five-day-onsite Irvine role is usually a decline, and it’s better to learn that on day one than in week four. Traffic decides a lot here.

  • Irvine and the Spectrum. The densest concentration of NetSuite accounts in the county. Medical device, software, and the professional services firms that support both.
  • Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. Consumer brands, agencies, and finance teams running multi-entity OneWorld.
  • Santa Ana and Tustin. Manufacturing, distribution, and the contract shops that live on work orders and lot traceability.
  • Anaheim, Brea, Fullerton and Yorba Linda. North county industrial. Food, plastics, metals, and a lot of family-held companies on their first real ERP.
  • Aliso Viejo, Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch and Rancho Santa Margarita. Medical device and consumer product companies along the 241 corridor.
  • Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. Apparel, board sports, and aerospace suppliers.
  • Garden Grove, Buena Park and Cypress. Distribution and light manufacturing, plus the 3PL footprint half the county’s NetSuite integrations point at.

Hiring outside NetSuite as well? Our Orange County IT staffing, Orange County accounting and finance, and Irvine staffing teams cover the same companies, so one intake call can reach more than one department. Running SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle Cloud, Epicor or Sage alongside it? That is the multi-platform ERP desk in Orange County, and it works the same accounts. We also run dedicated NetSuite desks in San Jose, Los Angeles, and San Diego. And if your NetSuite footprint runs past Southern California, our ERP recruiters place across 30-plus US metros.

Who We Staff

Orange County Industries Running NetSuite

Four industries account for most of the NetSuite footprint in this county, and the seat looks different in each one. A candidate who is excellent in apparel can be genuinely unhireable in medical device, because the constraint isn’t the software. It’s the paperwork around it.

Medical Device & Life Sciences

Irvine, Aliso Viejo, Lake Forest. Lot and serial traceability, validated change control, and a release cadence you can’t simply accept. Validation runs roughly 30 percent of build hours on bespoke NetSuite code in a GAMP 5 environment, so the seat has to write for it.

Apparel, Action Sports & Consumer

Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Irvine. Wholesale and direct-to-consumer inside one account, SuiteCommerce, seasonal demand, returns, and 3PL feeds that have to reconcile daily.

Aerospace & Precision Manufacturing

Santa Ana, Anaheim, Fountain Valley. Work orders and routings, Advanced Manufacturing, project accounting, and export-control-aware access design inside NetSuite roles.

Software, Fintech & Services

Irvine, Newport Beach. SuiteBilling, Advanced Revenue Management under ASC 606, project profitability, and a OneWorld conversation the week a second entity appears.

FAQ

Common Questions About NetSuite Staffing in Orange County

What does a NetSuite staffing agency in Orange County actually do?

It sources, screens, and presents NetSuite talent for open roles across the county. KORE1 runs the whole search out of our Irvine office. We scope what’s really in the seat, pull from our Southern California NetSuite network, test the technical claims on the resume, run the interview loop, and handle the offer. Screening is where the value sits. That part is not optional. A recruiter who can’t tell a saved-search admin from a SuiteScript developer will send you both and let you sort it out over three weeks you didn’t have.

Which NetSuite roles do you place in Orange County?

Seven seats. Administrator, developer, functional and implementation consultant, integration specialist, solution architect, SuiteCommerce developer, and fractional administrator. Junior through principal, on contract, contract-to-hire, or direct. When a role spans two of those, which happens constantly in mid-market, we’ll tell you which combination is realistic and which one you’d be searching for all year.

How fast can you fill a NetSuite role here?

Most Orange County NetSuite searches close in three to six weeks from kickoff. Administrator and functional roles move fastest, since the local bench is deepest there. Developers take longer, sometimes a lot longer, because the pool of people writing production SuiteScript in this county is genuinely small and nearly all of them are employed. Some searches stall. You get that forecast on the first call rather than a number picked to win the work.

Can we hire a NetSuite administrator part time?

Yes, and for a lot of Orange County companies it’s the right answer. A fifty-person distributor with a stable account often needs six to ten hours a week, not a full-time hire, and stretching the role to justify a salary is how you end up with a bored admin who leaves in nine months. It happens often. We staff that as a fractional NetSuite administrator on contract.

Do you place SuiteScript developers, or only functional consultants?

Both, and we treat them as separate searches. A NetSuite developer writes SuiteScript 2.1, ships Map/Reduce jobs and RESTlets, and deploys through SDF. A functional consultant configures. Plenty of resumes claim both. Far fewer hold up when you ask what a scheduled script should do when it runs out of governance units halfway through a batch.

What does it cost to hire NetSuite talent through a staffing agency?

It depends on the model you pick. Contract bills hourly, folding the consultant’s pay and our margin into a single rate, and the person stays on our payroll. Direct hire carries one fee set as a percentage of first-year salary. Contract-to-hire splits the difference. For a reference point on the project side, a 2026 NetSuite delivery proposal from Oracle NetSuite Alliance Partner Foretopia blended at about $215 an hour across roles, with $275 for an independent validation lead. Whichever model you choose, the rate is in writing before the search opens. No surprise invoices.

We’re a regulated manufacturer. Does that change the NetSuite hire?

It changes it a lot. In a validated environment custom NetSuite code is GAMP 5 Category 5, and validation runs around 30 percent of build hours on top of the build itself. Holding that validated state current across Oracle’s two annual releases costs roughly 120 hours a year on its own. So the person you hire isn’t only writing SuiteScript. They’re writing SuiteScript a qualified person can trace back to an approved specification, and that is a much shorter list of candidates than the job board suggests.

Hiring For a NetSuite Seat in Orange County?

Start with a short intake call. We’ll ask what’s actually in the seat, which of the four lanes is dark right now, which edition and modules you’re on, and what went sideways on the last hire so we don’t repeat it. No pitch deck. Just a straight read on whether we can fill it and how long it should take.
